Jones was drafted 7th overall in the 2000 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. He has played for the Chicago Bears, the New York Jets and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He signed a two year deal with the Chiefs after he was released by the Jets in March of 2010. McCluster was a second round draft pick by the Chiefs in the 2010 NFL Draft. He played at the University of Mississippi for the Ole Miss Rebels. He is the newest wide receiver for the Chiefs.
The issue for Kansas City is the defense. They did get Eric Berry with the 5th total pick and he will assist the team but there are other issues. Glenn Dorsey and Tyson Jackson have not offered much to the Chiefs. Both players have been disappointments to date in spite of being high draft picks. The secondary is weak and the linebackers for Kansas City are only average. If the defense is to be much better, it will likely be up to Berry to live up to his celeb potential.
The AFC West is a division that everyone is giving to the Chargers in NFL preseason probabilities, but San Diego has disadvantages. If things actually come together for the Chiefs this season it is not impossible for them to be a huge surprise.
