Football gambling anticipation continues to build as the Seahawks were impressive in their preseason debut as they beat Tennessee in their football betting starter. The exhibition win over the Titans was Carroll’s 1st NFL competition in a decade and he pretty much stole the show as both teams had trouble in a sluggish matter.
“Oh, I loved it. It was a blast,” Carroll stated. “We even made it like a real NFL game, coming down to the final 20 seconds. Just being here. I’m so proud to be here. It was really, really cool.” Bringing in high-profile guests to team meetings and holding bowling parties for the team, Carroll has so far endeared himself to his players. Some were calling his training camp Club Carroll, he conducted such a joyful camp. Carroll needs to make some huge changes to how the Seahawks perform if they anticipate to get anywhere this year, after going 9-23 over the last two seasons. And you’ll find lots of alterations being made, especially to the team roster. Something like half of the team’s players and staff has changed since they played the last competition of the 2009 season. And it appears to be paying off, at least so far.
Seattle’s next preseason matchup with the NFL lines is August 21 when they sponsor the Green Bay Packers.
Seattle’s backup quarterback Charlie Whitehurst had a formidable performance as he went 14-22 for 214 yards and 2 touchdowns. Whitehurst was introduced by Carroll to test long time veteran starter Matt Hasselbeck. Hasselbeck had trouble as he went 4-10 for 26 yards but there appears to be no quarterback controversy – yet anyhow.
Seattle’s defense goes on to be a football gambling concern as the 1st unit was chewed up by Tennessee on a 10 play 79 yard drive. The Seahawks ended 25th in points allowed a year ago and are trying to strengthen a thin linebacking corps.
