There are those in the masses of MMA fandom that do not enjoy the UFC’s attempts to become a truly global brand and make inroads in the European marketplace, especially the UFC 122 probabilities competition which will be hosted in Oberhausen Germany on November 13th.

And it is not that these devotees are anti-European or anti German. It is just that the roster for this German smack down is not quite perfect. As we saw last month with the UFC 120 competition hosted in London England, organizers have a tendency to fill the fighting roster with home grown expertise (or at least European expertise) in an attempt to develop a larger fan base in the enormous Euro market which has thus far rejected MMA as a sporting selection.

The UFC 122 gambling competition will highlight 3 German competitors and a number of other European competitors. The main issue with this is that the German MMA scene is comparatively small and practically none of German competitors in the UFC 122 probabilities competition are known outside of their communities or cities and specifically not to nearly all of the UFC devotees. So even though there are more Germans than usual on the card, they will not be met with more assistance from devotees.

The game of MMA has been met with serious criticism in the country by its media and authorities. It is earlier headed to minors being forbidden from the 1st German UFC competition, UFC 99, and this it year it is headed to the sport being forbidden from being broadcast entirely. The Germans have found the “extent of violence shown to be unacceptable” and so the competition will be aired by tape delay on Spike TV here in the united states, but not at all in the country it is actually being hosted in.

The reality that the Main Card headlining bout in the UFC 122 gambling competition will include Nate Marquardt and Yushin Okami in a competition in which the winner isn’t even certain a possibility at the division title says a whole lot about the expertise level of the competition in Oberhausen.

But that doesn’t automatically mean negative news for the MMA devotees wants to play the UFC 122 probabilities. While these competitors might not be very famous and never amount to much on the UFC fighting scene, their relative anonymity provides lots of gambling possibility for the intelligent devotees willing to do some homework and discover a bit more about these mysterious competitors.

Look at for example Pascal Krauss, a German welterweight who is planned to match Englishman Mark Scanlon on the Preliminary card. He’s 6’1″, 170 lbs and he has never lost an MMA contest in his life. He has a ideal 9-0 record in MMA competition, 7 of the wins by submission. He might be next major issue in UFC!

What about Karlos Vemola, the Czech competitor nicknamed the “Terminator” with a 7-1 record, who will be seeking to make mincemeat of American Seth Petruzelli in the light heavyweight division.

There’s a lot of comparatively mysterious expertise out there just waiting to be discovered and bet on by MMA devotees in the impending UFC 122 Main Event.

UFC 122 Betting: No Major Names, No Top Fighters

Go on Reading Below or Go To Our Online Casino Sports Gambling Site Now!

UFC Main Events are noted for their abundance of fighting expertise and showcasing the largest names in MMA, however the UFC 122 Main Event to be held in Oberhausen Germany on November 13th is a well known exclusion.

Maybe UFC enthusiasts have become too pampered or too spoiled and expect every Main Event to showcase a championship fight between Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez. Or maybe they’ve just grown used to seeing top contender after top contender in the Main Events. Whatever the reason, the UFC 122 lines lineup comes as a bit of a jolt to the system.

Following seeing some really memorable fights this year in the UFC Main Events the UFC 122 betting lineup is hands down the least desirable event of the complete calendar year and one of the largest disappointments in recent MMA history.

The cause for this drop off in expertise is obvious: when the UFC hosts an event beyond the US the fighting expertise tends to go away as the UFC tries to showcase competitors from the sponsor nation. This adds up on a lot of levels. It’s a excellent chance for the UFC to increase its brand on a worldwide scale and increase the box office.

And in the long-term picture for MMA competition that may be a excellent thing. However for sports betting enthusiasts seeking to make a wager or 2 on the upcoming UFC 122 betting lineup it is a tad annoying.

It’s often more enjoyable to wager on top names. Even if it does not make a lot of sense we’d rather wager on a name like Anderson Silva or Lesnar or St Pierre basically considering the elation of watching a world renowned contender defend his championship suggests more glory and gives an added rush to the wagering.

However even if we’re not betting on a world champ it is still desirable to wager on competitors you are at least familiar with –for obvious reasons.

At the UFC 122 betting event, short of the 2 headline competitors (Nate Marquardt and Yushin Okami), the remainder of the card are comparatively unidentified or a has-been. And who wants to wager on that sort of lineup?

The sole savior of this fight is the probability that the victor will go onto challenge Anderson Silva for the championship. Nevertheless, both competitors have had their shot at Silva in the past, and both did not wow. Marquardt got his opportunity in July 2007 at UFC 73. He lost the tournament that evening by technical knockout as a result of strikes. Okami was formerly planned to confront Anderson Silva throughout UFC 90 but was pressured to withdraw as a result of a broken hand. Either of these competitors facing such a icon right now will almost certainly be anticlimactic, and not just considering Silva will almost certainly wipe the mat with them. Even if one of them receives the chance, and even if they have the ability to win the fight versus Silva, it will seem as though the belt was stolen from him by someone who stumbled into glory.

Continue Reading This Article or Go To Our Sport Betting Site Now!

The welterweight division in MMA action isn’t always the glamour section but in the upcoming UFC 122 gambling competition you’re very likely to see the greatest fighting in this weight class as there’s plenty of competitions to choose from.

Of the 11 planned competitions in the UFC 122 prospects action, four of them will be welterweight competitions – more than every other weight class.

The Main Event will offer middleweights Nate Marquardt and Yushin Okami, and whilst there are several other interesting middleweight bouts on the card, the welterweight division is where it is at in terms of UFC 122 gambling action.
On the Main Card devotees will get to watch American Amir Sadollah face German Peter Sorbotta. This’ll be no simple challenge for Sadollah – the more highly regarded fighter – as Sorbotta will be combating on his home soil with a complete country’s MMA desires sitting on him. But Sadollah is basically a lock to take down Sorbotta, who’s 8-3 in his MMA career but is coming 0-2 in the UFC competition and is coming off 2 straight losses to mediocre tournament.

Sadollah is the champion of the Wltimate Fighter 7 but he’s just 3-2 in his UFC career and coming off a loss to Korean Don Hyun Kim. Nevertheless, he should have the ability to deal with his German foe.

Despite all the Germans who are destined to be in this match, not many actual Germans may be there to support their competitors. The sport of MMA has been met with serious critique in the nation by its media and authorities. It is formerly led to minors being prohibited from the first German UFC competition, UFC 99, and this it year it is led to the sport being prohibited from being telecast entirely. The Germans have described the “extent of violence shown to be unacceptable” and so the competition will be shown by tape delay on Spike TV here in the u.s., but not whatsoever in the nation it is in fact being put on in.

On the undercard there are 3 welterweight competitions, each showcasing intriguing UFC 122 gambling angles.

German Pascal Krauss will face Englishman Mark Scanlon, American Duane Ludwig will fight Englishman Nick Osipczak, and American Kris McCray will match vs Brazilian Carlos Eduardo Rocha.

Scanlon is a best 7-0 going into the UFC 122 gambling tournament as is the 9-0 Krauss who will be combating in front of his hometown crowd, so to speak. One of these individuals will leave the Octagon with his first career loss. This has the potential to be the Fight of the Night.

Between Ludwig (19-11) and also Osipczak (5-2), there’s a big variation in knowledge and Osipczak is coming off two straight failures but he’s faced better opponents and should deal with Ludwig.

When McCray and Rocha take to the canvas, anything may happen. This’ll be his first UFC Main Event match coming off a loss in the Wltimate Fighter 11 Final. Pretty little is known about Rocha other than the reality that he’s 8-0 in MMA competitions and will additionally be fighting in his first UFC Main Event.

UFC 122 Gambling Prospects in Showcase Competition from Germany

Nate Marquardt in addition to Yushin Okami will take center stage of the Octagon on Saturday November 13th in Oberhausen Germany as the featured fighters in the UFC 122 prospects competition. These two men have watched a lot of MMA competition and have competed numerous UFC events.

Yet next Saturday’s bout at the UFC 122 wagering competition may very well be the most essential fighting contest of either man’s career. That these 2 fighters are featured in the headline match of a UFC Main Event is somewhat of a fine surprise for these two fighters who have in any other case been neglected by many people in the sport.

With a career record of 30-9-2 Marquardt has been a testament to toughness. Not many fighters arrive at the 40 match mark in their career and the reality that the Wyoming native, Marquardt, has arrived at that fighting landmark by the age of 31 says a lot about his strength and toughness. His career record of 30-9-2 is much better than most fighters but it’s still not pretty good enough to distinguish himself from the remainder of the weight class and gain “elite” standing in the UFC.

His UFC 122 prospects challenger, Yushin Okami, is another seasoned vet of MMA competition and at 29 years of age has thirty career MMA fights under his belt. His record of 25-5 is extraordinary but he does not have any big victories over an established competitor in the UFC. Indeed, the largest name he’s competed since signing with the UFC is probably Chael Sonnen, who defeated Okami pretty easily and won by unanimous decision in October of last year.

The sole saving grace of this match is the probability that the winner will go onto compete with Anderson Silva for the championship. However, both fighters have had their shot at Silva in the past, and both failed to impress. Marquardt got his chance in July 2007 at UFC 73. He lost the tournament that night by technical knockout because of strikes. Okami was earlier planned to take on Anderson Silva during UFC 90 but was compelled to withdraw because of a broken hand. Both of these fighters taking on such a star at this time will be a let down, and not only due to the fact Silva will wipe the mat with them. Even if just one of them gets the chance, and even if they manage to win the match versus Silva, it will seem like the belt was taken from him by somebody who stumbled into honor.

Neither one of these fighters is going into the UFC Hall of Fame and so for them to have a prospect at the championship at this point in their career and headlining the UFC 122 prospects competition is probably over either would have believed possible.

In terms of matching up, Marquardt has played the toughest competition in his career and he has victories over greater opponents. Okami has better his striking and other facets of this fighting, yet Marquardt has the advantage in strength and endurance.

Expect this match to go the distance and also for Marquardt to triumph in this UFC 122 wagering matchup.

Okami Faces Uphill Struggle Vs Marquardt in the UFC 122 Odds Action

Go on Reading Below or Visit Our Sport Betting Site Now!

Japanese MMA competitor Yushin Okami is not exactly a famous name in much of the world, but he’s one match away from a chance at the middleweight championship. If he can somehow get past competitor Nate Marquardt in the UFC 122 probabilities competition, he will be next in line to battle against Anderson Silva, the leading MMA competitor on the planet.

On the 13th of November, the MMA public will descend upon the Konig Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen Germany (or at a minimum those that can locate the spot) to watch the UFC 122 wagering competition. Headlining that event will be middleweight fighters Okami and American Nate Marquardt. The champion will additionally likely obtain a chance at the Anderson Silva and the UFC middleweight championship following he beats his next challenger, fellow Brazilian Vitor Belfort.

Okami comes into this UFC 122 probabilities competition as the comparable longshot, at least based on the rankings. Sherdog has Marquardt showed as the #3 competitor in the middleweight class at this time whilst Okami is rated number six by the same publication.

What makes this competition so interesting aside from the expertise of both fighters is their skill sets. These challengers have pretty different fighting styles and it should make for a pretty interesting competition.

Marquardt earned his MMA chops in Japan and should be acquainted with a lot of of Okami’s inclinations. Nevertheless, Marquardt is a incredible striker trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and will try to keep the match on his feet. In contrast, Okami possesses a kick boxing as well as wrestling background and will likely try to take the UFC 122 wagering event to the canvas.

Both fighters have taken their lumps as fighters, Okami has a career MMA record of 25-5 and Marquardt 30-9-2, yet the two will be entering the UFC 122 probabilities competition at more or less their optimum fighting expertise.

In order to win this match Okami will need to stay away from Marquardt’s significant striking capability. He will have to counteract the blows by keeping busy with his kicks and keeping Marquardt from arm’s length when they’re on their feet. Marquardt possesses long reach for a person his dimensions and that gives him a striking edge.

If Okami can move the match to the mat and stay away from submission moves whilst applying stress of his own when grappling, he will have a chance to eliminate Marquardt. But Marquardt is a leading competitor in this weight class and will likely leave Germany with 1 more MMA victory.

Okami debuted with the UFC at UFC 62, where he beat Alan Belcher by unanimous decision. 2 months later he’d fought Kalib Starnes at UFC 64, a matchup he won by TKO due to strikes in the 3rd round. His 3rd match in total, and his 3rd in only four months, was at UFC 66 where he beat Rory Singer by submission from strikes. Okami was formerly planned to encounter Anderson Silva in the course of UFC 90 but was pressured to withdraw due to a broken hand.
Marquardt is taking the place of Vitor Belfort, who was formerly planned to challenge Okami.

Tips to a Marquardt Win In the UFC 122 Odds Action

No one in the community of MMA would challenge that Nate Marquardt is a tough customer; certainly not his opponent in the upcoming UFC 122 prospects action, Yushin Okami.

But nobody familiar with the sport would go thus far as to name him a leading contender in the sport, and even though he is often skulking somewhere on the list of leading contenders, he is not a man that most devotees would picture one day as the next middleweight champ of the world.

But he won’t be.

Yet he might get a prospect at the title if all goes the way it should in the UFC 122 wagering action.

Marquardt will take a trip across the ocean to continental Europe to face Japanese contender Yushin Okami) in the headline bout of the evening. That is not a typo: Nate Marquardt is headlining a UFC Main Event. Whilst that would never take place on US soil, there are obviously different criteria when the UFC hits the road and in Germany, Marquardt will be the greatest star in the UFC 122 prospects lineup.

Originally, Marquardt was not in the plans as the UFC brain trust put the lineup together for this Main Event. Brazilian Vitor Belfort was slated to fight Okami in the UFC 122 wagering action but backed out at the last minute when he got a superior offer to fight the champ, Anderson Silva, in a title competition. He obviously agreed and Marquardt was forced into action.

What makes this matchup fascinating is that the champion of this middleweight Main Event is supposed to get the subsequent chance at Silva and the middleweight title.

It is hard to say whether that’s a punishment or a prize as Silva will completely defeat either of these 2 competitors, but nevertheless this is likely the last chance that Marquardt will receive to fight for the belt.

Throughout his UFC career Marquardt has been a career contender. His record of 30-9 is somewhat deceiving and he’s now rated the #3 middleweight challenger by Sherdog and Yahoo Sports. He is a good striker and measures up well against mat oriented foes. Okami is just this kind of an opponent and should provide a good matchup. Okami is rated the number six middleweight challenger by the same sites. Okami goes in this UFC 122 prospects matchup as the relative long shot, at least based on the rankings.

Marquardt formerly faced Anderson Silva in a challenge for the UFC middleweight tournament back in July of 2007 at UFC 73. He lost the tournament that evening by technical knockout as a result of strikes.

What makes this matchup so fascinating apart from the skill of both competitors is their ability sets. These challengers have pretty distinct fighting styles and it should make for a pretty compelling matchup.

Marquardt has somewhat of a reach advantage and is likely the more robust of the 2. If he can keep the competition on its feet and sustain his striking he should get the win in this UFC prospects matchup and earn a likely rematch against Silva for the middleweight title.

UFC 122 Prospects Spotlight: Marquardt Looks to Be Next In Line to Be Pounded By Silva

Keep on Reading This Article or Go To Our MMA Gambling Site Now!

The UFC 122 prospects lineup may not be really what MMA enthusiasts were thinking of following the ultra matchup of heavyweights Brock Lesnar and new champ Cain Velasquez in the UFC 121 title game.

And even though the UFC 122 Main event presenting Nate Marquardt and Yushin Okami may not really have the same ring to it as the approaching Rampage Jackson versus Lyoto Machida, it’s maybe not pretty the let down that everyone has been making it out to be.

And even if there is no title at stake you can anticipate a excellent bout when Marquardt steps into the Octogan and his bout with Okami should be no different. It’s a bit anticlimactic as the champ is alleged to get a chance versus the defending middleweight champ, Anderson Silva, the greatest pound per pound fighter in MMA and maybe the history of the sport. And until the hell freezes over and the sun rises in the West the champ of this UFC 122 gambling Main Event is not going to beat Silva.

Nevertheless instead of taking a ‘glass half empty’ tactic to this fight, enthusiasts should see it as a good thing situation. The UFC 122 prospects Main Event is actually a de facto middleweight title bout. No one has critically challenged Silva in the cage since George Bush was in office. In the past half decade that Silva has maintained the middle weight title he has won 14 straight competitions. No matter who triumphs at the Marquardt versus Okami bout in the UFC 122 gambling competition, neither is effective at beating Silva.

Marquardt (30-9-2) is usually a hard competitor and no one wants to compete with this person, however the reality of the matter is he’s nowhere fast near Silva’s capability level. The last time these two met in 2007, with the title at stake Silva tore him to little pieces, concluding the game with a TKO in the 1st round.

The same is accurate of Okami (20-5). He could be able to beat Marquardt in the UFC 122 prospects competition but he’s not on the same level as Silva.

One intriguing note nevertheless, is that Okami is actually the last man in the world to have defeated Silva, back in January 2006; even if it was due to the fact of an illegal kick DQ from Silva, it’s still a thing to carefully consider.

UFC 122 Prospects Event: MMA Back in the EU

Go on Reading This Article or Join Our UFC Bets Site Now!

MMA buffs can hope that ‘UFC Europe’ is more successful than NFL Europe or any other failed American sporting effort put on in Europe as the UFC 122 odds action returns to the old continent for the second time in less than 30 days.

After putting on the UFC 120 Main Event in Jolly Olde England the UFC is heading back to Europe to hold the UFC 122 Main Event, this time around in Germany.

Fresh on the heels of Oktoberfest the UFC 122 wagering action should additionally be a big hit and a great chance to propagate brand awareness in a non-conventional MMA market. The US has already been won over by the MMA as well as Japan and some other areas of Asia, and Brazil is perhaps the largest hotbed of MMA in the world.

But Europe has never been a key market for the MMA or the UFC and that’s why Dana White and his group are making such an effort to make inroads here and have selected to host the UFC 122 odds competition at the Konig Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen Germany on November 13th, 2010.

But UFC buffs not visiting the competition in Germany can be understood for being a tad upset over the issue. You see, whenever the UFC Main Events are put on in a foreign location –with the exclusion of Canada- the quality of the fight card nosedives.

Nothing vs any of the fighters on the UFC 122 wagering card, however when Nate Marquardt –who is a great fighter- is the headliner for a UFC Main Event, certainly something is not pretty right.

In fact, there will be championship fight at the UFC 122 odds competition and even the winner of the Main Event match up (Marquardt against Yushin Okami) is not even guaranteed at a shot at the championship. This is similar to a Major League competition with a minor league lineup.

Granted, there should still be some great fighting action and we will probably be introduced to some up and arriving fighters but this lineup is surely deficient in terms of name recognition and total talent.

Not just that, however the fight is in fact being banned from being broadcast in Germany. The German press has greatly criticized MMA as a sport, and the nation has gone so far as to prohibit minors from attending the 1st German UFC competition, UFC 99. Earlier this year in March, Germany prohibited the sport from being broadcast at all due to the fact the “extent of violence shown [is] unacceptable.” The UFC appears to take this nearly as a challenge, proclaiming that they would keep going regardless and that not getting aired on TV is not going to stop them. The competition will still be broadcast by way of tape delay back in the States on Spike TV. Even the reality that it’ll be broadcast somewhere other than pay-per-view makes it sound like the UFC is recognizing that this will not be one of the greater Main Cards they’ve come up with.

Thankfully, the UFC 123 competition will be back in the US and packed with big names and big talent.

UFC 122 Wagering Focus: Not Off To the Best Launch

Keep on Reading Below or Visit Our Sport Gambling Site Now!

No matter what happens the UFC 122 wagering competition will happen on November 13th, 2010 at the Konig Pilsner Arena in Oberhausen Germany. Even with opposition to the sport from the German press and the government, the UFC is determined to carry on to press their overseas presence in MMA fighting until they are either recognized or banned once and for all.

It is somewhat of an unusual site for a UFC Main Event and it may not be the smartest place to an event but however, Dana White is a headstrong man and he’s planning to do what he says he’s planning to do; repercussions be damned.

The UFC 122 probabilities event will be just the second time that the UFC has presented a Main Event on the European continent. There have obviously been many productive Main Events presented in London, England over the years but so far as mainland continental Europe, this is just the second time that it is happened.

And as White well understands, there is a fairly good grounds for that.

The Europeans, at the very least the Germans, do not like MMA that much. At least that is the information that the govt of Germany and other authorities are transmitting to the UFC. In fact, this body has been busy attempting to make the UFC 122 wagering Main Event as not successful as possible.

For instance, there will be no minors allowed at the event itself and none that will be granted to enter the Konig Pilsner Arena on the night of the UFC 122 probabilities competition. That’s just one issue. Yet another development that surely won’t help the UFC’s cause is the fact that that the broadcast of the UFC 122 wagering event has been banned by the German government.

Trendy German press has roundly condemned not merely this event but the whole sport in general. If the UFC is looking to gain a foothold in the European market or at the very least the German market it is destined to be an uphill battle.

Besides the complications created by the government there does not appear to be all that much attention in the sport itself from Germans. There are almost no German competitors at any level of global MMA competition and certainly the press tends to reflect the tastes of the population generally speaking.

The competition will still be broadcast by way of tape delay in the united states, where the sport carries on to be very trendy with its devotees. Germany is taking a position versus mma, but it is weak to stop the distribution of the UFC across the world.

The approaching UFC event may well be a success but it is off to a quite inauspicious start, to say the least.

UFC 122 Wagering Sneak Peek: Principal Card Filled Of Fascinating Competitions

Keep on Reading Below or Go To Our Sports Gambling Site Now!

Attempting to follow the awesome UFC Main Event we barely observed with the heavyweight championship changing hands in an amazing competition between celebrities Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez is all but impossible but that’s precisely what the UFC 122 gambling event will have to do.

Practically no competition will be able to top what supporters were treated to when these two huge men beat each other’s brains in a round of action last month.

But the UFC 122 odds lineup has also some interesting bouts and there’s no question that sports supporters will find something to their liking when the UFC 122 gambling action gets going on November 13th at the Konig Pilsner Arena in Oberhausen Germany.

The headline competition in this occasion is scarcely at the star level, but UFC Main Events in foreign countries seldom highlight the top names in the sport. In Germany Nate Marquardt will face Yushin Okami in the UFC 122 odds Main Event action.

Okami (25-5) was initially scheduled to match Brazilian Vitor Belfort in what would have been a very interesting match in fact. Nonetheless, Belfort sensibly pulled out of the event to encounter middle weight victor Anderson Silva. That opened up the door for Marquardt in what ought to be an in interesting competition. The champ of this UFC 122 gambling main event will allegedly obtain a championship shot versus Silva.

Another top competition on the Main Card contains Jorge “el Conquistador” Rivera (18-7) versus a much younger Alessio Sakara. At 38 years old Rivera is scarcely in his combating prime and this match is set up to offer utmost honor to Sakara the Italian to help to make him a European star. But the truth is Sakara is not that great. With a record of 15-7-1, Rivera doesn’t have much to worry about. Rivera has been performing with the UFC since he debuted at UFC 44. He won that fight with a unanimous decision win over David Loiseau. Sakara and Rivera were formerly scheduled to compete against each other at UFC 118 back in August, but he was forced off the card with an arm injury and Gerald Harris took his place instead. Sakara ended up being forced off the card with an injury as well and substituted by Joe Vedepo. If nothing happens between now and November 13, though, Sakara and Rivera are today well enough to take each other on in UFC 122.

But the hometown crowd will all be present to cheer for their native son, Dennis Siver, a Russian-German lightweight who will be looking to win on his native soil for the 1st time in his UFC career. Siver has battled in 9 UFC events and has a career record of 16-7. Yet he’s never battled in a UFC event in Germany and when he takes the Octagon in Oberhausen to match Englishman Andre Winner he will at last get that possibility.

The other two bouts on the principal card will contain the American Amir Sadollah versus Germany’s Peter Sobotta in the welterweight competition, and Polish Krzysztof Soszynski versus the Croatian Goran Reljic.
